Kids’s Ministry

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Our team desires to come alongside parents to help disciple their kids. Parents are the number one disciple-maker of kids but our Ministry Team exists to help in this important work. We have KIDS LIFE CONNECTION for all ages which meets Sunday Mornings @ 9:45 am, SUNDAY JAM that dismisses from the regular 11 am worship service following the singing.  SUNDAY JAM is intended for kids between pre-K and 4th grade.  Those younger than Pre-K can be taken to the nursery.  We encourage those in 5th grade and up to stay in the regular service to worship with their parents.  Kids of all ages can stay in the service the entire time.  Crying babies and kids that make a little noise only signify the future of the church.  We want parents to be comfortable as they worship but we also want to engage the children.  Melissa Grimes heads the Children's Ministry Team.

Sundays

Nursery:  9:45 - 12:15 Birth – 3 yrs old

KIDS LIFE CONNECTION:  9:45 – 10:45

Pre-K – 2nd grade

3rd – 5th grade

SUNDAY JAM – During Sunday morning worship service.

 

Wednesday Night

JAM – Jesus and Me 6:00-7:30

Kinder – 4th grade students

 

We also have JAM, Jesus And Me on Wednesday nights during

the school year. We serve a meal and have children’s worship,

Bible stories, and Scripture memory practice along with

recreation.  JAM is one of our most important ministries that

shows tangible results in children’s lives.  We can always use

volunteers.  We also have VBS in the summer and plan for

children camps in the future.

Vacation Bible School

VBS at First Baptist utilizes LifeWay curriculum to teach kids

about God through bible stories, videos, arts & crafts, music,

and more...like one wild and crazy rec program!!
